Free medical camp to be held on March 26 for professionals in the media and film industry in Mumbai

Cine Aajkal :- Over the years, we have witnessed a lot of initiatives for health and medical issues in Mumbai city. However, a one-of-a-kind medical camp, what we call the free Maha Arogya Shivir, is being organised for professionals in Bollywood and the media industry in the city. The free medical camp will take place on 26 March where hundreds of doctors and nurses will be present.


Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, President of the RK HIV AIDS Research and Care Centre in association with Doctor 365 which is India's Leading Home Health care service provider and Dheeraj Kumar, Actor Producer and Director ,CMD of Creative Eye Ltd. are organising the medical camp. It will be the first time that a massive medical camp is being organised for the members of the film fraternity including technicians, crew members and their families.


Besides free health and medical checkups, the Maha Arogya Shivir will donate 30,000 spectacles and 500 wheelchairs to those in need.


Ahead of the Maha Arogya Shivir, a press conference was held at Mumbai's Vulture Club where Dr. Dharmendra Kumar and Dheeraj Kumar were present along with other eminent personalities like B.N Tiwari, Manish Kumar Verma, Sangeeta Tiwari, Dr. Dilip Pawar, Mahendra Poddar, Amit Doshi ,Fashion Designer Archana Kochhar, Avinash Rai, Dinesh Chaturvedi, Javed Khan ,Prachi Bedekar and Sundari Thakur.



At the event. Dr. Dharmendra Kumar said, "The free medical camp is for people associated with Bollywood and the media industry. The Maha Arogya Shibir will begin on March 26 from 8 AM onwards till 6 PM at the Chitrakoot Ground in Andheri West. In the evening, we will have a felicitation ceremony for film technicians and media professionals." Apart from this, families of Mumbai Police will also take advantage of this free medical camp.


Since the coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Dharmendra Kumar and Dheeraj Kumar have realised the need to conduct health camps and offer treatment to people through different initiatives. Till December 2022, they have organised more than 29,000 medical camps for more than 3.5 crore beneficiaries. For the free Maha Arogya Shibir, 900 doctors including specialist doctors from Mumbai's top hospitals will be present for different medical treatments.


Moreover, at the press conference, Sundari Thakur honoured and felicitated Dharmendra Kumar and Dheeraj Kumar for their excellent work. For this free medical camp, many well-known celebrities like Hema Maliini ,Madhur Bhandarkar, SINGERS Shankar Mahadevan ,Shaan ,Anup Jalota, artists Madhoo , Johny Lever .Divya datta Sunil Pal and many more have extended their support. Maharashtra Health Minister Shri Tanaji Sawant is also supporting this initiative. Maharashtra cultural minister Sudheer Mungantiwar is very vocal and supportive of this mission . Lilavati Hospital, Jaslok Hospital, Saifee Hospital and other hospitals are supporting this camp. On a concluding note, Dr. Dharmendra Kumar and Dheeraj Kumar appealed to the media professionals to take advantage of this maha shivir and maintain good health through free medical checkups at the camp.
